Play Store is designed to serve every Android device user, so it’s super easy and simple to use. If you don’t have one yet, go create one real quick, and that’s it. Tap the icon to open Google Play Store, where you will be asked to sign in with your Google account (Gmail account) the first time you use the app. Once the app is installed, a shortcut icon will be created on your device’s home screen. Then, Play Store will be ready for you to use. It may take a while according to the device’s processing capacity. Give the app any necessary permissions, and wait for the installation to finish. Tap the file to open it (depending on your device, this may open a new program like Android Package Installer) and choose “Install”. How to install Google Play StoreĪfter the download is complete, you can find the APK file on your device by using a file manager app (these files usually get put into the “Downloads” folder), or simply by tapping the “Download complete” notification. If you get a pop-up asking what you want to do with the file, select “Save”. Tap the link to start downloading the application. You will find Play Store in an APK file format (the format that all Android apps use), named Play Store APK with a number that tells you what version of the app you will be downloading. The second step will be downloading the app’s APK file from a secure site as we said, choose a safe site so you avoid downloading any kind of spam or viruses to your device. It’s a good idea to turn this option off again after you’ve downloaded, installed and setup the application, and only enable it on an as-needed basis whenever you want to download an app from a third-party site. Obviously, you can’t download the Play Store from the Play Store when you don’t have the Play Store (that makes sense, right?). This is because Android devices are programmed to download all their apps from the Play Store only, so if you don’t make this adjustment your device will block the file from being installed. The first thing you need to do before downloading the app is go to the settings on your Android device, find the security settings and turn on “Download from unknown sources” to allow the device to download the app.
